Western Window Systems was selected as the exclusive window provider for this year's Sunset Idea House

PHOENIX, Ariz. – Western Window Systems, a leading manufacturer of moving glass walls and windows that bring indoor and outdoor spaces together, was selected to outfit the 2025 Sunset Idea House, recently opened for tours and now on the market. This is the fourth time the manufacturer has been chosen as the exclusive window provider for the Idea House projects.

Located in Desert Palisades in Palm Springs, the one-story contemporary home boasts more than 3700 square feet of living space and serves as a tribute to timeless design.

Designed by famed architect Donald Wexler in association with architect Lance O’Donnell, the home features four bedrooms, five baths, floor-to-ceiling windows, fluid interior layouts, a pool and spa, and impeccable views of the entire city, mountains, and Chino Canyon.

As the sole window provider for the project, several products from Western Window Systems’ Classic and Performance line can be found throughout the home, including the Series 300 Minimalist - Multi-Slide Door, Series 600 Window Wall, and the Entry Door System: Series 7980 Pivot Door with Series 7630 Window Wall Sidelights.

Given the central role windows play in the home’s design, selecting the right brand was a critical decision. In a collaborative article with Sunset magazine, it was stated that Western Window Systems was chosen for its innovative design, quality craftsmanship, tailored solutions, and timeless appeal—qualities that align perfectly with the vision for this revived modern classic.

“We’re proud to be selected again as the Sunset Idea House window provider,” said Brian Leizerowicz, Vice President of Sales, Western Window Systems. “It’s a testament to our innovative products that provide modern, custom solutions and deliver exceptional performance in these environments. We selected products to fit the home’s architectural design and the area’s desert climate. The homeowner benefits from narrow sightlines that maximize views, while thermally broken components will help maintain indoor comfort by minimizing heat transfer and improving energy efficiency.”

Western Window Systems’ Classic Line of aluminum moving glass walls and windows combines exceptional capability with ease of use and versatility. With a narrow profile, stainless-steel rolling hardware, and standard or thermally broken aluminum for energy performance, it’s been the choice of builders for over two decades.

The manufacturer’s Performance Line offers exceptional energy efficiency and strength in taller and wider sizes, allowing homeowners to push the limits of what is possible.
